Zusammenfassung: | The paper proposes an easier mechanism of computer control for physically challenged people with spinal cord injury having restrained neck movements. They do not have appropriate input devices for performing essential activities in a computer. So, there is a great demand for electronic assistive devices. Our proposed method tracks the movement of the cursor using the head movements by analyzing well efficient datasets. Initially facial landmarks are located, specifically the eyes, nose and mouth. A convex hull is represented over their facial landmarks. Then image processing is done using the open CV. The cursor can be moved to the required coordinates using facial recognition and the mouse click can be achieved by blinking of the eyes. Also, it does not respond for the reflex actions produced by the neck. This acts as an assistive system to the user, so as he/she can operate the computer independently and access anything they want. It has ease in controlling and shows a user-friendly behavior. |
