Zusammenfassung: | Liquid Loading in wet and condensate gas wells represents a great challenge for production and reservoir engineers alike, however Liquid Loading is still a challenge today. It’s a well-known practice to use empirical models to determine the status of the wells, some wells behaviour is far away from these empirical models. In this work OLGA multiphase dynamic model is applied to questionable to determine the actual liquification statuses. Multiphase flow stability analysis is conducted on those wells by simulating the flow for 5 days, and other problematic candidate wells are simulated for 1 year using OLGA transient simulation software to screen the wells for protentional short-and long-term liquid loading problems. Group of wells were found to be unloading properly, another group deemed dead after short period of simulation time and others suffered from slug flow. A Good number of wells were producing normally however they showed signs of production loss with time which is a key indicator for liquid loading issue. It is recommended to combine steady state models with transient state models to better assist critical wells where empirical models fail to successfully predict the liquification status. Transient Models should not be considered as a replacement for empirical models since they require a lot of data and they are expensive to build and maintain, instead it should be considered as complimentary to empirical models whenever available. |
