Zusammenfassung: | Oily wastewaters are large amounts of organic contamination produced via industries that sources are serious to the environment’s concern since they are highly toxic and cannot be degradable. The SBR method is utilized to investigate oily wastewater treatment. First, wastewater was pretreated with 30 min sonication, then dispersed to biological treatment. The SBR system was operated on FILL, AEROBIC, ANOXIC, and ANAEROBIC modes. The pretreatment had a distinguished impact on the % COD reduction after sonication, about 23.3 % for 30 minutes. Degradation by pretreatment was due to the disintegration of complex aromatic compounds present in the wastewater. SBR cycle consisting of different operating periods was investigated for the effective treatment, and operating mode consisting of the higher aerobic period and was found the % COD reduction 99.4 % for 21 hours in Mod 2 that is offered better degradation. |
