Welcome to the Proceedings of the Ninth National Conference for the Environment and Natural Resources (NCENR-2023) 8-10 March 2023, Basrah, Iraq. The NCENR-2023 conference is established to provide an ideal platform for researchers to share views and experiences in :– Climate change and pollution.– Biodiversity and desertification.– Greening and agriculture sustainable environment.– Water, natural resources and Biology.– The health and the society.The conference was participated by 117 participants. The committee has selected 76 papers out of 117 to be published in IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science.All the papers have been through a rigorous review by a panel of reviewers who provide critical comments and corrections and have contributed substantially to improving the quality of the papers to meet the requirements of International publication standards and IOP EES Scope.We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Chairman, the distinguished keynote speakers, and all the participants. We also want to thank the publisher for publishing the proceedings. May the readers could enjoy the gain some valuable knowledge from it.
