Comparative analysis of pneumatic actuator output link braking methods

Influence of pneumatic accumulator parameters on dynamic characteristics of pneumatic drive is considered. During the study, the initial values of geometric volume and pressure in it were changed. The pressures in the air drive cavities and the speed of the output link were estimated. A computational experiment was conducted. The speed and energy characteristics of various methods of organizing braking of the output link of the pneumatic drive were compared: throttling; back pressure into passive volume; back pressure to pneumatic accumulator.
