Zusammenfassung:Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is a multiple carrier modulation scheme that makes use of orthogonal subcarriers to enhance the performance of system. The signal is transmitted in parallel form across the carrier in OFDM system. Multiple sub-carriers that are closely spaced with respect to each other are utilized that leads to efficient use of spectrum and provide more resilience to interference in this scheme. However, an OFDM signal possess noise like variations in the amplitude of signal commonly known as Peak to average power ratio (PAPR) that is the major shortcoming of this technique. Various schemes are used to suppress PAPR like clipping, companding and SLM. In this paper, an algorithm is proposed and compared with already accessible PAPR suppression methods. The proposed algorithm utilize traditional partial transmit sequence and concept of interleaving subsequent to separating the symbols in sub-block for OFDM. Investigations revealed that the proposed algorithm outperformed the standard PAPR reduction methods by reducing the PAPR approximately by 2 dB with respect to CCDF.
