Zusammenfassung:This article considers capability to use refrigerator vans at AO TAGMET for retarded cooling and further transportation of continuous cast ingots in the course of their production from flake susceptible wheel steel requiring retarded cooling. Thermal insulation of such van based on railroad platform has been calculated. Mineral wool slabs are proposed as thermal insulation (due to unique properties. This model of refrigerator van allows to transport hot continuous cast ingots to next production stage.
