Zusammenfassung:The present study investigated centrally and peripherally mediated analgesic activity of methanol extract of leaves of Bauhinia acuminata and isolation of active compounds by column chromatography with gradient elution using combination of different solvents. FTIR, 1H and 13C NMR spectral data of the isolated compound established it to be a flavonol, quercetin.
