d
binding energy of [C
8
C
1
Im][BrI
2
] is found higher than that of [C
8
C
1
Im]Br, due to the formation of the negative charge delocalized structure. The I 3
d
spectrum indicates that there are two iodine components formed, showing binding energies at 620.8 and 619.6 eV, respectively. The structure of the [BrI
2
]
–
anion is subsequently confirmed. |
