Zusammenfassung:This paper describes the theoretical formulation of a vertically polarized microstrip antenna and a horizontally polarized microstrip antenna. Cavity model in conjunction with array theory, equivalence theorem, and image theory is used for theoretical analysis. In order to validate the theoretical analysis, both the antennas were simulated using CST microwave studio. A good validation is obtained between theories and simulations. Simulated antennas are resonating at 2.4-GHz with a 38-MHz impedance bandwidth. The proposed antennas are designed for use in WBAN-OFF body communications. SAR analysis averaged over 1 g and 10 g for variant sizes of ground plane of antenna are analyzed and reported. It is observed that the SAR value averaged over 1 g is reduced by 49.68%, 74.06%, and 82.34% and over 10 g is reduced by 42.23%, 65.2%, and 77.3% upon increasing the total size of the antenna by 45.1835%, 98.65%, and 160.407% respectively.
