Zusammenfassung:This study considered hydrodynamic theory on magnetic fluid flow models like R. E. Rosensweig model and Jenkins model for axially undefined journal bearing with porous attached at inner surface (journal). In this work variable external magnetic field is considered. Expressions of pressure and load carrying capacity are obtained. The values of load carrying capacity for both the models are calculated for various parameters like slip velocity, porous thickness, squeeze velocity, eccentricity, permeability. It is observed that in comparison point of view, the better performance in case of a flow model depends on values of parameters for designing the porous journal bearing.
