Zusammenfassung: | The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (SDS) various on the structure and hardness of electrodeposited Ni-TiN-AlN composite coating. The coating is deposited on tungsten carbide rod as substrate. The structure of the composite coating is characterized by using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and the coating hardness is obtained by Vickers hardness test. The crystallite size, lattice strain and stress of the coating were calculated based on the XRD spectrum data. The results showed that the crystallite size of TiN was the most influenced by SDS concentration rather than of Ni and AlN that it decreases as the SDS concentration was reduced. As the TiN grain size decreases, the increase in stress and strain results in an increase in the hardness of the coating. |
