Zusammenfassung: | Innovative learning models for the revised 2013 Curriculum have been implemented. The inquiry learning model emphasizes student activities that are closer to the scientific method. This study reveals the mastery of physics concepts in four high schools by using guided inquiry learning in the north coastal areas of Central Java. The quantitative expost-facto research method was used with 196 students as a subject, determined by purposive sampling. The four high schools are from Semarang City, Brebes, Demak, and Rembang Regencies. The essay test instrument has been used to collect data on mastery of physics concepts. Based on the ANOVA test, there were significant differences between those four groups of students in mastering the concept of physics, F = 6.363 with p = 0.001, df = 3 and alpha = 0.05. It is concluded that the mastery of physics concepts by students from four high schools is significantly different. Factors causing differences in students’ understanding of physics concepts are important subjects that have been discussed. |
