Studies of the Reaction Kinetics of Gypsum and Anhydrites Dissolution in Water at the Initial Stages

Experimental studies of kinetics of gypsum and anhydrites dissolution in water (25°C; P = 0.1 MPa) made it possible to formulate the model of the process in the form of a system of equations for kinetics of gypsum and anhydrite dissolution (first and second order, respectively). The calculated values turned out to be more comparable with the experimental data, taking into account the common-ion effect on the solubility of gypsum and anhydrite and changes in their specific reaction surface values.
