Zusammenfassung:In this work, 4,6-diamino-2-mercaptopyrimidine was applied as an outstanding chelating agent for the preparation of a novel nickel metal–organic framework (Ni-DAMP-MOF) as a heterogeneous and reusable catalyst. The prepared MOF was characterized by XRD, SEM, EDS, WDX, TGA, BET, FT-IR, and AAS techniques. Subsequently, this metal–organic framework was used as a new catalyst in the synthesis of pyranopyrazoles and selective oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides. All products were obtained with high purity and excellent yields, which indicate the high catalytic activity of this catalyst. Also, this catalyst was shown a good selectivity in the oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides. Finally, the reusability of this catalyst was investigated as an important principle in green chemistry. Graphical Abstract A new MOFs structure of nickel (Ni-DAMP-MOF) was prepared as an efficient catalyst in the synthesis of pyranopyrazoles and selective oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides. Ni-DAMP-MOF was characterized by XRD, SEM, EDS, WDX, TGA, BET, FT-IR, and AAS techniques. This catalyst indicated good chemoselectivity in the synthesis of sulfoxides. This catalyst was recovered and recycled several consecutive times.
