Zusammenfassung:Livestock has various strategic roles in agricultural development. On the other hand, livestock development through increasing population has an impact on environmental pollution. Pigs are one of the livestock commodities that play a role both as a source of animal protein and income for farmers. This situation is a serious concern of the government in increasing production and population. The problem is the increase in population has an impact on increasing pig waste which causes water, soil, and air pollution. One of the efforts to minimize pollution is by making a biogas reactor as a reservoir for pig waste. The research was conducted to know the extent of the potential for biogas production from pig waste. The research method used was a survey method with a case study approach to pig farming. The location of the pig farm was determined by purposive sampling, namely the pig farm that was managed in a residential area. The respondent was a commercial pig farm that was developed in the Tempok Village settlement. The data analysis used was descriptive analysis through the analysis of biogas production potential. The results showed that the pigs consisted of 15 female pigs, 2 males, 16 growers, and 25 starters. The total bodyweight of the pig was 6,629 kg, producing 51,043 kg of waste per day. The results of this study had the potential for gas production of 13.78 m3 per day. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the waste produced had the potential for biogas production if it is managed properly. Suggestions submitted need the introduction of a reactor in processing waste into useful biogas.
