Zusammenfassung: | In the current investigation, the sol–gel method was utilized to fabricate nanocrystals of strontium sulfide doped with different compositions of europium. Powder X-ray diffraction examinations for structural properties revealed the structure of the sample to be monoclinic with the space group C2/c. AFM was used to examine the surface morphology, as well as the average grain size, which was determined to be 131.02 nm. The EDX spectroscopy validated the composition of the elements. A Tauc plot created with data from diffuse reflection spectroscopy was used to calculate the optical energy band gap. Based on the amount of europium present, the optical band gap ranges from 2.5 to 2.8 eV. Photoluminescence spectroscopy was used to interpret the optical characteristics, and the peaks were found to be in the visible range with wavelengths of about 540 nm. The light’s color was situated within the yellow-green zone of the chromaticity diagram, which was created. Using time-correlated single-photon counting spectroscopy, the average lifetime was estimated. The samples were found to be biocompatible based on the results of the hemocompatibility test. |
