Zusammenfassung:In this paper, we study the effects of spatial heterogeneity and homogeneity of intrinsic growth rates on an S-K-T competition system. A good understanding of the dynamics and structure of the set of nontrivial steady states is obtained. It is shown that only when the competing species have the same total resources that coexistence is possible. The balance between different spatial heterogeneity characterized by integrals and the superior of spatial heterogeneity to homogeneity are observed. In addition, the effect of cross-diffusion is also given.
