Zusammenfassung: | This research focuses on the mechanical analysis of the casing structure of a safety device, the Signal Warning Detector (SWAD). The casing structure of the device needs a mechanical analysis to sustain the strength, durability and reliability of the device. The objective of this study is to develop a SWAD casing structure and design a device casing by comparing theoretical Static analysis using Solidworks Simulation. This study has proposed three receivers SWAD casing structural designs for structural or static analysis namely concepts 1, 2 and 3. Concept 3 was selected as the best design by making a comparison between the results of structural analysis and design suitability. According to the study, analysis, results and graphs recommend the best plastic material was Nylon suitable for the application of SWAD casing under limited load conditions with value of Von mises stress was 0.2719 N/mm2 and for deflection was 0.005398mm lower compared to concept 1 and concept 2 at 3 N/mm2 pressure. |
