Zusammenfassung:The article presents the results of the study of the condition of the Surgut – Salekhard motor road and identifies the main causes of defects in its greater length (subsidences, landslides, open longitudinal and transverse cracks, etc.) due to the following: insufficient level of existing regulatory and technical documents and low level of motor road design; poor quality of motor road construction; lack of rules of operation of the motor road in tundra and forest tundra conditions. The conclusions of the article summarize the measures to prevent the occurrence of defects, subdivided into preventive and operational ones.
