Zusammenfassung:Analysis of elements in the human blood is crucial for diagnosing diseases in the human being. Human blood contains major, minor, and trace elements, which should balance in composition. Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy has become a well-known technique for rapidly analysing elements in any sample, including liquid, solid, and gas. In this present work, we studied the effect of the laser wavelength on the sensitivity of elemental detection obtained from human blood. The Nd: YAG lasers used in this work are fundamental Nd: YAG laser with a wavelength of 1064 nm and the third harmonic Nd: YAG laser with 355 nm. The result shows that the emission spectrum of elements obtained from the third harmonic Nd: YAG laser has higher emission intensity than the fundamental Nd: YAG. Some elements have been successfully identified, including C, H, O, Mg, Ca, Na, and Fe.
