Zusammenfassung: | Seismic analysis deals with the evaluation of response of structures upon earthquakes and it is a part of structural design process. This paper presents the summary and the results of the seismic analysis of a G+3 Reinforced Concrete (R.C). building with irregular plan. The building is modelled as a 3D frame in STAAD Pro Advanced CONNECT Edition software. The number of degrees of freedom in each node is six. Equivalent Static and Response Spectrum analysis was performed. The soil considered is rocky soil and the relevant response spectra as per IS:1893 - Part 1 (2016) was used. During analysis of the system, it is ensured that, sufficient number of vibration modes are considered to contribute more than 90% mass. Analysis was performed for various loads and their combinations. The structure was also checked for various irregularities like vertical irregularity, geometrical irregularity, torsional irregularity and mass irregularity using STAAD Pro CONNECT edition. |
