Zusammenfassung: | Vocational high schools are secondary schools that offer new students several special majors to prepare students to become work-ready graduates. Generally, before students choose a major in accordance with the student’s choice, students first look for information about the major’s profile. The technology media vocational high school in the city of Bogor is a school that has three majors, namely: multimedia (MM), motorcycle engineering (TSM) and office governance automation (OTKP). Even though the school has provided several criteria in the process of determining the majors, among others, based on junior high school national exam scores, psychological test scores and student interests, the school has experienced problems in determining student majoring. Especially the difficulty when new students or parents ask about the majors that match the interests and potential of students. For that we need a decision support system that helps schools in determining the majors according to the potential of students. The method used to determine the choice of the major is using the profile matching method. The final result of the decision support system is in the form of recommendations for the choice of majors for students according to academic and non-academic grades. From the results of the match in determining the majors using the profile method with the student’s chosen majors by 80%. |
