Zusammenfassung:As the era of ‘easy oil’ is coming to an end the oil and gas industry is being propelled towards the state of the art nanotechnology to overcome challenges. On one hand the ease with which the hydrocarbon was extracted is getting reduced day by day while the demand keep on increasing exponentially. The next step would be to provide the required results along with mitigating the risk associated. The recent advancements and applications of the nanotechnology in the oil and gas industry are extremely diverse and can lead to open new frontiers in the exploration and development of the various hydrocarbon bearing sedimentary basins. The aim of the current paper is to discuss the advancements and applications of nanotechnology in enhancement of oil and gas production in a cost economic way. This analytic study provides the detailed information of the implementation of nanoparticles such as silica, Graphene, Carbon nanotubes which can improve well productivity.
