Boosting Activity and Selectivity of UiO‐66 through Acidity/Alkalinity Functionalization in Dimethyl Carbonate Catalysis (Small 18/2023)

Pd‐NO2‐UiO‐66 for DMC Catalysis In article number 2208238, Ye‐Yan Qin, Yuan‐Gen Yao, and co‐workers first introduce acidity/alkalinity functionalized metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) into dimethyl carbonate (DMC) catalysis, and the Lewis acidic Pd‐NO2‐UiO‐66 exhibits excellent catalytic behavior. Zusammenfassung:Pd‐NO2‐UiO‐66 for DMC Catalysis In article number 2208238, Ye‐Yan Qin, Yuan‐Gen Yao, and co‐workers first introduce acidity/alkalinity functionalized metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) into dimethyl carbonate (DMC) catalysis, and the Lewis acidic Pd‐NO2‐UiO‐66 exhibits excellent catalytic behavior. In addition to affecting the interaction of Pd(II) and support, the ‐NO2 group has a dominant role in the chemisorption of methyl nitrite (MN) and CO for generating DMC.
