Zusammenfassung:The study was aimed to identify the development of learning progression in natural selection learning over these ten years. Learning progression is a stage of student thinking that starts from simple to complex concepts continuously. Natural selection is one of the biology topics that is considered difficult for both teachers and students. This study reviewed the research articles on learning progression about natural selection during the period 2011 to 2021. The articles were selected using PRISMA with “Learning Progression” and “Natural Selection” as keywords. Finally, after filtering the article, this study included 15 articles for further analysis. The results showed learning progression could improve students’ understanding of natural selection. Learning progression has been used to develop learning and assessment in natural selection. This article will be the basis for further study in developing the right learning media for natural selection based on the learning progression.
