Zusammenfassung: | The hospitality industry has been most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, with the lockdowns, travel bans, and social distancing severely impacting organizational performance. Of particular interest is the restaurant industry; there had been a little investigation in Indonesia as to the effect of the pandemic. To explore this, a single company was chosen to analyze and compare their performance in terms of gross sales and labor cost before and after the pandemic to determine what impact the pandemic has and whether it follows previous findings of research done outside of Indonesia. Using the compare means method, it is found that while gross sales experience a decrease compared to a pre-pandemic year, it is not a significant one, while labor cost has become much lower. However, the result of this research only comes from a single company. As such, it is not representative of the industry in Indonesia. |
