New distribution record of Periplaneta kijimuna in Ishigaki Island, Okinawa, Japan

On June 20, 2021, an adult female of Periplaneta kijimuna was captured from a forest in the Ishigaki Island, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. An ootheca was hatched, and adult males that emerged were identified as P. kijimuna. This is the first record of P. kijimuna from the Ishigaki-jima Island.
