Zusammenfassung: | The determination of triflouperazine hydrochloride in pure and dose forms has been developed using a simple spectrophotometric approach. The method employs an oxidative coupling reaction with sulfanilic acid in the presence of N-bromosuccinimide to produce a red-violet colored product with a maximum absorbance of 537nm. For 12 hours the product remains stable. The a molar absorptivity of 0.55x104 L.mole −1.cm-1, Beer's law is followed over a concentration range of 5-100 μg ml-1. Various experimental parameters that influence the development and stability of the generated color output were thoroughly researched and optimization , and a reaction pathway proposal was offered. The proposed approach was successfully used to determine triflouperazine hydrochloride in tablets. |
