Zusammenfassung:The photovoltaic performance of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) based on TiO 2 and BaTiO 3 has been studied after hydrothermal treatment of porous TiO2 film which is prepared using the screen printing method that is used as an essential component in this type of solar cell. The film of titanium dioxide and barium titanate deposited on the FTO substrate has been studied structurally using X-ray diffraction, optically using UV–Vis spectrometry, and morphology using scanning electron microscopy. The DSSC fabricated based on TiO2 and BT showed open-circuit voltage (V oc ), short-circuit current density (J sc ), fill factor (FF), and efficiency is 0.61 V, 1.76 mA/cm 2 , 0.649, and 0.59%, and 0.61 V, 5.73 mA/cm 2 , 0.535, 1.87% respectively. The efficiency of the cell increased threefold when the porous titanium dioxide was hydrothermally treated and converted into barium titanate, where it was used as a photoanode. The lifetime showed a higher value in the case of using barium titanate compared to that of DSSC in which titanium dioxide was used, while the ideality factor was greater in the case of using titanium dioxide.
