Dendrophthora kuijtiana (Santalaceae: Visceae), a new species and additions to the genus in Venezuela

Dendrophthora kuijtiana (Santalaceae), a new species of mistletoe endemic to the páramos and subpáramos of the Venezuelan Andes, is described and illustrated. We discuss aspects of its ecology, and taxonomic affinities with Dendrophthora davidsei . In addition, we report a new record ( D. paucifolia ) and two updates ( D. karuaiana y D. warmingii ) to Dendrophthora in Venezuela and present a dichotomous key to identify the species of Dendrophthora reported for the Guaramacal National Park.
