Zusammenfassung: | This paper is to design a Solar Thermal Energy Harvesting System that can produce electricity from solar turbine. Solar energy was divided into two categories, thermal and photovoltaic. Thermal system operates using sun rays to drive a turbine. While photovoltaic system converts the photons in sunlight into electrical energy. Sunlight is a renewable energy and can produce electrical energy. In this paper, the main focus is the sun rays that reflected on the solar concentrator to heat a water and produce steam. The steam produce will turn a turbine and generate electricity. Concave mirror was selected because the focus to reflect sunlight is better than another light reflector. The parallel light rays from the sun become incident on the mirror and get reflected at focus. Thus, concave mirror was used to focus light to a point and used as a solar concentrator. |
