Zusammenfassung: | The purpose of this study was to introduce a systemic group intervention model and examine the effect of systemic oriented group intervention on the awareness of gifted children’s parents. A pretest-posttest group design was used to compare awareness of gifted children’s parents. The parents were divided into three groups, one of which involved psychoeducation and systemic interventions, another group guidance, each was a 6-session program, the third group was a control. All participants completed the Parental Awareness Scale before and after the intervention. The results revealed both intervention groups had significant gains on parental awareness; however, significant outcomes were not observed for the control group. Parents’ involvement in intervention groups and in-session and between session activities and assignments in the experimental groups provided them an opportunity to gain awareness about gifted parenting and the context of their gifted children. |
