Health-Related Quality of Life Revealed Through Patient-Reported Outcomes

Background: The prevalence of being overweight and obesity is increasing at an alarming rate throughout the world. Health-related quality of life (HRQoL) is one of the most important issues to be investigated in obesity. The purpose of this study was to investigate the validity, reliability, and factorial structure of the Turkish version of the Patient Reported Outcomes in Obesity questionnaire (PROS). Methods: A total of 80 participants (40 overweight, 40 obese) were included in the study. The Impact of Weight on Quality of Life short version (IWQOL-lite) was used to determine validity.
