Zusammenfassung: | Tests results of the optical and radiation characteristics of wavelength-shifting silica-polymeric fibers, which were prepared by adding plastic claddings containing a K-27 green wavelength-shifting additive on fiber silica cores, are presented. The new wavelength-shifting fibers with fluorinated PMMA claddings have a radiation hardness of >90 kGy. Possible ways for further improvement of their optical and radiation characteristics are considered. |
