Zusammenfassung:Using the Wilson confinement criterion a holographic model for finding a string-like spectrum of meson excitations is proposed. The model is applied to the vector and scalar mesons and a good agreement is obtained both with the existing experimental data and with some other known phenomenological approaches. The constructed model provides a novel realization of spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking between parity partners.
