The method of determining the coefficient of friction in the “Pad-wheel” system

This article considers the actual means of determining such a technical parameter as a sliding friction coefficient. The friction coefficient is one of the main parameters characterizing a work of tribological pairs of any engineering and technical system. On the basis of the analysis carried out, the authors proposed a procedure of determining the coefficient of friction between the pad and the wheel, and also a device that makes it possible to implement the procedure proposed.
