Zusammenfassung:—A scheme of arc spraying with a flux-cored wire in a protecting gas atmosphere using a filler flux-cored wire is considered. In this scheme, a filler wire is fed from the side of the tail part of the welding bath. The filler flux-cored wire charges contain chromium carbide. Chromium carbide is shown to decompose during spraying, which leads to alloying of the sprayed metal with chromium and carbon. The use of chromium carbide is found to increase the coefficient of transition of carbon and chromium into the sprayed metal. When ferrochrome is completely replaced with chromium carbide, needlelike chromium carbide forms in the sprayed metal.
