Zusammenfassung:This study aimed to discuss primary prevention strategies for the risk of suicide in adolescents in the school context, in addition to investigating associated factors, warning signs and possible intervention proposals, through a narrative review of the literature. The materials researched as reference for this study were collected from electronic databases (SciELO, PubMed and PePSIC), books and manuals. Identifying and understanding risk factors and warning signs for the risk of suicide in adolescents is necessary in order to intervene effectively. Among the preventive strategies found are the teachers’ training, guidance to families and students’ training in social skills. For these strategies to be effective, the importance of the psychologist in the school team is highlighted, in addition to the need for greater investments so that intervention programs aimed at preventing suicide in adolescents must be created.
