Zusammenfassung: | Charcoal prepared from Kail Sawdust (waste obtained from carpenter shop) has been used as adsorbent for the simultaneous removal of red RB (RRB) and yellow M4G (YMG) dyes from water. The interactive effect of both dyes is found as antagonistic. The experiments are performed on optimized operating parameters, which are based on individual dye adsorption. Experimental results are tested for Langmuir, Freundlich, and Temkin adsorption isotherm models but the equilibrium data fitt well with Langmuir isotherm model. Adsorption kinetics fit well pseudo second order kinetic model. FTIR, SEM, and BET analysis are used to characterize the adsorbent. Adsorption process is spontaneous, feasible, and exothermic as proved by thermodynamic parameters. From the outcomes, it is presumed that removal of dyes by KSC (bioadsorbent) can be proved as successful and green innovation for the treatment of textile industrial wastewater. |
