Prednisolone: Pulmonary cryptococcosis and secondary cutaneous cryptococcosis: case report

Lab analyses revealed WBC 10500 /pL, RBC 4120000 /pL, haemoglobin 12.8 mg/dL, hematocrit 37.1%, platelets 225000 /pL, AST 19 IU/L, ALT 29 IU/L, gamma-GTP 100 IU/L, blood urea nitrogen 34.5 mg/dL, creatinine 1.1 mg/dL, LDH 29 IU/L, glucose 77 mg/dL and C-reactive protein 2.4 mg/dL. The DNA sequencing analysis of the intergenic spacer region-1 of the rRNA gene in the isolate identified cryptococcus necrosis-mans. [...]hepatic impairment occurred.
