Zusammenfassung: | Homeopathic medicine has a place among the non-hormonal treatment options for alleviating menopausal symptoms. The aim was to evaluate homeopathic treatment on menopausal symptoms. Thirty menopausal women were recruited from NRC and treated individually by homeopathic remedies for 6 weeks, with no change in their regular diets. Severity of menopausal symptoms was assessed before and after treatment using Menopause Rating Scale, Beck Anxiety Inventory, and Beck Depression Inventory, and biochemical parameters (FSH, Testosterone, Progesterone, Estradiol, IL-6 MDA) were done before and after the treatment. The mean overall total symptoms score and biochemical markers showed significant improvement (
p
≤ 0.05); however, FSH, Testosterone, Progesterone, IL-6, and MDA were decreased, while Estradiol was increased. The study concluded that homeopathic medicine could be effective in treatment of menopausal symptoms in peri-menopausal women. |
