Zusammenfassung: | Well water in Valencia housing in Muaro Jambi is damaged and polluted so it cannot be occupied optimally. Palm coir originating from the local area is used as one of the ingredients for the water purification process. This study aims to determine the ability of Multi Soil Layering Systems coated with palm fiber and the flow rate in the well water purification process. The method used is Multi Soil Layering Systems (MSL) with variants of flow rates in non-aeration and aeration. The results showed that the quality of well water with the highest efficiency level of pH, Color, Fe metal successively was the aeration treatment with a flow rate of 60 mL/minute (25%),10 mL/minute (31%), 10 mL/minute (83%) while the lowest was in non-aeration with a flow rate of 10 mL/minute (10%), 60 mL/minute (25%), 60 mL/minute (67%). In non-aeration, there was no decrease in E. Coli, while the aeration treatment obtained E. Coli bacteria of 0 cells/100 ml, meaning that it met the requirements for clean water. |
