Zusammenfassung: | Biofloc farming is a technology for recycling organic matter and improving the water quality and fish performance in aquaculture systems. The present study investigates the impact of biofloc culture system (BCS) on fish performance by adding fish oil to commercial feed as an omega-3 fatty acid source. The fish oil containing the omega-3 fatty acid was mixed with commercial fish feed. The growth and feeding efficiency of Clarias sp. were monitored in a recirculating tank system (RTS). Fat and Omega-3 levels were observed by analyzing the proximate test in Clarias sp. These results suggest that the combination of biofloc systems and the addition of fish oil could provide efficient systems to stimulate fish growth with high contents of omega-3 in Clarias sp. |
