Zusammenfassung: | Golfer typically carries a golf bag to transport all his golf clubs and other equipment all over the golf course. However, golf bags can be hefty to be held on the shoulder. Thus, this project aims to design and fabricate an autonomous Smart Golf Caddie (SGC) to ease the burden of carrying a golf bag from a golfer and provide an autonomous caddie solution. To successfully follow a golfer, the SGC will attempt to locate the smartphone carried by the golfer. The algorithm and the mathematical model of the SGC are also designed. Using Arduino, the algorithm is implanted into the SGC. Additionally, the mechanical specifications, specifically the gears, were designed and analyzed. An experiment on flat concrete was conducted to evaluate the mathematical model of the SGC, which is the most specific condition that the SGC may travel in. It was found that there is not much difference between the mathematical model of the SGC with a real-life scenario, at least when on flat concrete. |
