Zusammenfassung: | Based on the morphological, luminescent, infrared (IR), and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) data for representative collection of diamonds from the Ebelyakh placer, a scheme for dividing crystals into three groups, presumably associated with the primary diamond sources, is proposed. The separation is based on the statistical distribution of diamonds in the collection according to the content of A (IR) centers. The identification of three groups is confirmed by the differences of crystals from these groups in many typomorphic features, including habit, surface morphology, color, visual luminescence, the presence of twins and intergrowths, and the degree of mechanical wear. |
