Zusammenfassung:We study the influence of the conditions of impulsive mechanical treatment in the course of formation of nanocrystalline structures on their saturation with carbon from special working media. It is shown that the hardening tool made of titanium alloy improves the conditions of saturation. Moreover, as the longitudinal feed of the tool is accelerated and the velocity of motion of the treated surface decreases, the concentration of carbon in the surface layer of steel becomes higher. This leads to the increase in microhardness and wear resistance of the surface nanostructure.
