Zusammenfassung:In this paper, we construct an analytical study of the Fornberg-Whitham fractional differential equation in the sense of Caputo definition. The basic properties of the fractional differential equation and the Fornberg-Whitham equation are given. We applied the homotopy analysis transform method to obtain the analytic solution for this equation, and the results compared with other obtained solutions by different numerical methods. A comparison study observed the efficacy and accuracy of the present method.
