Zusammenfassung:A method is described for monitoring the position of the wire in additive electron-beam surfacing by means of secondary X-rays from the interaction of the electron beam with the metal in the wire. A system for ongoing control of the relative positions of the electron beam and wire is developed, on the basis of an X‑ray sensor and tracking of the wire. The system is experimentally tested.
