Quality Management Measures in FMEA

The structure of quality management measures used in the analysis of engineering risks within the FMEA (failure mode and effects analysis) framework is considered. Problems of the FMEA risk assessment system are noted. Graphically, failure modes are linked with the corresponding system of quality management measures at an auto plant, taking account of the consumer chain. The change in the probabilities of failure occurrence and detection with the application of quality management measures is described. The influence of quality management measures on the results of risk assessment (including factors associated with the structure and quality of the materials employed in the product) is analyzed.
